According to a study done by the U.S. Justice Department, 359,000 children are kidnapped each year, including 4,600 by people who are not relatives. Many of these abductions end tragically in rape, assault, and even death. These figures don't even include an estimated 114,600 kidnapping attempts, nearly 500,000 runaways and 127,000 abandonments!
